Ada 2 efek yang dimiliki oleh penyinaran sinar matahari yaitu efek menguntungkan dan efek merugikan. Efek merugikan ini disebabkan adanya radiasi oleh sinar <em>ultraviolet</em>. Untuk menghindari efek merugikan ini, manusia membutuhkan tabir surya. Secara kimia, tabir surya dapat mengabsorbsi sinar UV. Salah satu contoh golongan senyawa yang dapat mengabsorbsi UV adalah golongan sinamat seperti Asam para- Metoksi Sinamat. <em>Solid Lipid Nanoparticle </em>merupakan sistem penghantaran obat dan kosmetik. SLN memiliki beberapa kelebihan seperti efek emolien, memiliki oklusifitas yang tinggi, memiliki daya penjebakan bahan aktif dan juga dapat menurunkan toksisitas. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan pada pembuatan SLN adalah <em>High Shear Homogenization </em>yang dilakukan dengan kecepatan tinggi yaitu 24.000 rpm, dengan komponen lipid Beeswax-GMS 50:50. Pada penelitian ini ingin diketahui bagaimana efektivitas tabir surya dalam sistem SLN bila dibandingkan dengan sistem <em>simple cream </em>dengan menggunakan modifikasi rumus Petro yang dilakukan dengan alat spektrofotometer. Dari karakterisasi yang dilakukan, SLN memiliki ukuran yang lebih kecil dan daya penjebakan yang tinggi sebesar 84,10%. Dari uji <em>Sun Protection Factor </em>(SPF) yang dilakukan secara in vitro, diketahui bahwa komponen penyusun dapat mengabsorpsi sinar UV. Selain itu, SLN- APMS juga memiliki harga SPF yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan sediaan krim APMS. The flavonoid compounds contained in it have antioxidant activity that can counteract free radicals. The purpose of this study was to determine the IC50 value of the antiaging cream of telang flower (Clitoria ternatea). This research method includes the manufacture of telang flower extract, the manufacture of cream with the addition of telang flower extract, and testing of antioxidant cream of telang flower extract. The yield of telang flower extract is blue, has a distinctive odor of telang flower with a yield of 41.3721%.</em><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Telang flower extract cream in the form of green cream, in the form of semi-solid preparations and odorless, made with a concentration variation of 0.25%; 0.75%; and 1.25%. Testing for cream of telang flower extract, the IC50 value of cream I was 249.204 ppm, cream II was 498.395 ppm and cream III was 249,057 ppm. The flowers are hemaphroditic, white and have a slightly fragrant smell. The compound flowers are coralline and in the axils of the tip leaves there are elliptical or egg-shaped bracts 0.5-1 cm long. The flower petals are lip-shaped, the outer side has glandular hairs, purple or green in color and forms part of the fruit. The flower crown is white with stamens inserted at the base of the crown and the stigma is bifurcated but not the same.</p> <p>The fruit is box-shaped, dark brown, erect, and depressed with a circular hook-shaped tip. The length of the fruit petals is 6-9 mm. The seeds are small, hard, brown, and immediately swell when picked. This type of fruit consists of four seeds. Taproot and dirty white in color.</p> <p>Based on research conducted on basil, it was found that basil is efficacious as an analgesic, anti-amnesic, and nootropic, anthelmintic, anti-bacterial, anti-cataract, anti-fertility, anti-hyperlipidemic, anti-inflammatory, anti-malarial, anti-lipid-peroxidative, anti-oxidant, anti-stress, anti-thyroid, antitussive, anti-ulcer, chemoprotective, skin disease, diabetes, immunomodulatory, radioprotective, hypoglycemic activity, hypotensive activity, and anti-cancer (Singh, 2012: 98). Coli Dari Ekstrak Buah Belimbing Wuluh http://ojs.stikes-assyifa.ac.id/index.php/elixir/article/view/99 <p>Belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) or vegetable belimbing is generally well known by the people of Indonesia, especially Aceh. Fresh Belimbing Wuluh is usually used in cooking because it has a sour taste and has a distinctive aroma. In addition, starfruit is also used to remove fishy odors, as a traditional medicine, cosmetics, and to remove rust on iron and steel. Carambola wuluh is a type of tropical plant that has the advantage of being able to bear fruit throughout the year. Belimbing wuluh usually grows in the yard and lives wild in forests and fields. Belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) contains active compounds such as alkaloids, triterpenoids, saponins, tannins and flavonoids. These secondary metabolites have a pharmacological effect as an antibacterial. Carambola wuluh fruit can be processed into sunti acid fermented products. Sunti acid is fresh fermented starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) through the process of dry salting and drying in the sun.
